Aflatoxin M1 is a hydroxylated metabolite of aflatoxin B1 and a potent carcinogen. Milk and its products are one of the foods susceptible to aflatoxin M1 contamination. The EU has a limit of 0.05ppb for aflatoxin M1 in milk.
