Vomitoxin Immunoaffinity Column

The immunoaffinity column can selectively adsorb deoxynivalenol (DON) from the sample solution, thereby providing a highly targeted purification effect on the sample. After column purification, the sample can be directly used for HPLC/LC-MS/MS analysis after nitrogen blowing and re dissolving.

The use of affinity columns in combination with HPLC or LC-MS/MS can achieve rapid detection, improve signal-to-noise ratio, and enhance the accuracy of detection methods.

Product overview

Deoxynivalenol, also known as Vomitoxin, belongs to the family of monotelosporins in fungi and is produced by certain genera of Fusarium fungi. Vomitoxins are mostly distributed in grains such as wheat, barley, and corn, with a content usually at the mg/kg level. Due to their high cytotoxicity and immunosuppressive properties, they pose a health threat to humans and animals.

Product principle

The basis of the determination is antigen antibody reaction, where the antibody is connected to the column. After extraction and filtration, the sample slowly passes through the deoxynivalenol immunoaffinity column. In the immunoaffinity column, the endotoxin binds to the antibody, and then the immunoaffinity column is washed to remove any other unrelated substances that have not been bound. Wash deoxynivalenol with methanol, dry and dissolve it with nitrogen gas, and inject it into the analytical instrument for detection.
